Update: Motion heads to a City Council vote on 6/13—RSVP for public comment!

WE'RE HEADING TO A FINAL VOTE: City Council has scheduled the motion to study the feasibility of establishing a democracy vouchers program, including options for full public financing, at the City Council meeting THIS Tuesday, June 13 at 10AM.

Your voice is needed for this important vote! This is the last opportunity to show Council there's serious community interest in exploring options to expand our campaign finance system and empower more Angelenos, especially working class communities and communities of color, to participate in our democracy.

Big shout out to our recent sign-on letter joiners: The River Project, Feel the Bern Los Angeles County, Youth Climate Strike Los Angeles, California Donor Table, RepresentUs, Wellbeing Economy Alliance California, Trojans for More Housing, Equal Citizens, Streets For All, Northridge Indivisible, Feel the Bern San Fernando Valley, CSUN YDSA, The TransLatin@ Coalition, and the Solidarity Research Center! And to Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council and Neighborhood Council Valley Village for submitting a Community Impact Statement in support of the motion!

Tuesday's council meeting allows for both in-person and dial-in public comment. If you're unavailable at that time, you can still submit public comment virtually here.

Thanks to everyone who's joined us in using their voice! As always please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Onwards,
